High resolution measurements of the Neumann KU 100 (credit Audio Group TH Köln) have been carefully modelled and included in Binauralizer 2 for accurate 3D panning. The intuitive 2D pad allows simultaneous control of source width and position. The plugin accepts multiple input formats (mono/stereo/surround) and deliver one output format (binaural stereo).

Binauralizer 2 has two companion plugins : Binauralizer Pro 2 and Binauralizer Studio 2. The Pro version adds distance and spatial room effects based on binaural room impulse response measurements. The Studio version is not designed for panning, it handles binauralisation of massive loudspeaker setups (7.1.2, 7.1.4, … 22.2).

A word about SOFA

Binauralizer 2 includes a SOFA importer, with a drag and drop interface for up to five custom filters. This lets you choose “the head you want” for binaural rendering. Several SOFA files are accessible on the SOFA conventions website. They have been measured on different humans or mannequins. Just drag and drop them into Binauralizer 2 option window to replace the default filters.
