The Hôtel de la Marine offers four guided tours based on dynamic binaural audio. Immersive soundtracks were created by Studio Radio France and l’Agence du Verbe, combining native binaural, dynamic audio objects and ambisonics.
The headset, called The Confidant, was conceived by RSF in partnership with Noise Makers and Studio Radio France. Containing a low-latency IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) and Noise Makers 3D audio engine, the Confidant guides visitors through the apartments and reception rooms, delivering a head-tracked binaural experience. This leads to a unique guided tour, plunging visitors into the monument’s history.
